A coach brings skills and training to the coaching relationship that will help you envision your best life, guiding you to be accountable to yourself in achieving that vision, by focusing on solutions.

I’m a graduate from Ontario College of Health and Technology.

Massage Therapy to me has always been a treatment that I searched for and needed to add into my lifestyle for many reasons, and the benefits I experienced were incredible. It also has fascinated me how well therapists in this profession can induce the body to such a relaxing state and still help you with issues such as tension, pain, injuries, mobility and much more. From that point on I knew I wanted to become an RMT and I wanted to help people feel better both mentally and physically.

I truly believe in the ability of making a change in someone’s health as well as getting them to the treatment goals they want to achieve all while distressing. Using different techniques with each individual is key in achieving these goals, therefore I am well versed in different techniques such as muscle tension release, deep tissue release, trigger point therapy, joint mobilization, cupping and hot stone massage.

In addition, I am planning on taking on courses in the near future such as Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) and Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR). Wellness and Health should always be a priority and my goal is to help you find that sustainable balance in achieving the best physical and functional well being, and overall live a better mobile lifestyle.

Fuel the Solution Nutrition and Life Coaching Shelli Wilmshurst, ROHP, Life Coach, Sports Nutrition Specialist Shelli is very excited to be re-joining the amazing team at Lincoln in Touch in a new capacity. She recently graduated from the Global Integrative Medicine Academy’s program specifically designed for individuals who were already regulated health professionals in Ontario. She was able to do this because of her education and experience as a massage therapist. The program has provided her with certificates in Advanced Nutritional Medicine and Sports Nutrition. Shelli has also trained as a Life Coach with Erickson College and looks forward to blending new knowledge with existing knowledge to help clients find the path to meet their nutrition, health and life goals. On the nutrition front, she is interested in all aspects of nutrition, but has a particular interest in nutrition for aging well, nutritional interventions for optimal gastrointestinal health and nutrition for sport. From the coaching perspective, obviously coaching for nutritional well-being, including weight loss, and sports nutrition take the front seat. But she is also very interested in end of life and bereavement coaching, coaching people through managing change in their lives and resilience coaching. Shelli is committed to lifelong learning (actually she is a self-declared “education addict!”). Over her life, she has studied and gathered work experience in accounting, adult education, life/business coaching, massage therapy, thanatology (the study of death, dying and bereavement), personal fitness training and now nutrition. When not doing all of that- Shelli enjoys reading, baking, kayaking, hiking, walking and of course -taking courses! For more information, see her website at fuelthesolution.com
